I responded to an ad for “free” trial offers of Alore and Lorelia skin care products for myself and my daughter for which I understood I only needed to pay a small amount of shipping. On September 12 2013, when we had only just received the trial offer products, my credit/debit cards were charged with four $100 (approx) charges for the products. I managed to contact the company the same day they charged my cards – on what they actually said was Day 14 of the trial (but again we had only had the product a matter of a couple days - some trial!), to request a refund. The person I spoke to was very rude, would not let me speak to anyone else and would not give me any contact or company information so that I could pursue my complaint. I have since put in a complaint against Alore and Lorelia and provided all the information the company requested (and more!) several times now and I still have not received a refund.

Information regarding Alore and Lorelia skin care product free 14 day trial:

- Orders were placed and shipping paid Aug 29 2013 (please see below)

- Orders were shipped out over next couple of days

- Orders not received until Mon, Sept 9 2013

- Trials of product started Tues, Sept 10 2013.

- Charges made to my accounts Thurs, Sept 12 2013 (please see below).

- Phone contact made Thurs, Sept 12 2013, explaining the above, cancelling auto shipment arrangements (that I was not aware of making or accepting!) and asking that all credit/debit card charges be reversed.

- Customer service rep stated that Thurs, Sept 12 2013, was “Day 14” and that while the free trial was for 14 days, cancellation had to be made within 13 days not to incur charges.

-I questioned how a free trial could commence before the product was received, stated that I had not seen the auto shipment and charges info and also repeated that as it was “Day 14” according to their information, so why was I not within my rights to cancel and be refunded?

-I also explained my situation – disabled and trying to live on a monthly pension of $733, and that they had just taken monies reserved for my mortgage payment.
