This has happened 3 times over the past few years. I have filled out a profile on match.com with the intent on meeting someone. Each time I have recieved a "wink" from different women at one week intervals. The women all have had interesting similarities. 1) the information they provide of who they are and who they are looking for is very vauge. 2) Their pictures are very attractive 3)the upper end of the age range they are interested in is one year older than me 4) as soon as i pay the subscription their profiles are no longer available.

  • No offense but I am glad to hear your post, I have heard of this before and reading your post just verifies it to me. I have given up on internet dating a long time ago.

  • I have noticed the same thing. Apparently that is what they do. Actually they all do it. But...why do you keep signing up then?

  • At least 2 out of every 5 winks I get are scammers. I have learned to spot them but it has made internet dating also a complete scam. If it looks too good to be true, it always is always a scam.
