On October 28, 2013 I ordered a women's The North Face Denali Jacket in Parachute Purple/Gray. I received the item very quickly, but upon inspecting the jacket noticed a few things that were "off" which made me suspect that the jacket I received was not authentic TNF. 1) The price tag attached to the jacket was discrepant from that of the actual jacket. As mentioned above I ordered a Parachute Purple/Gray combo, but the tag reads "Razzle Pink/ Baroque Purple". 2) There is no product care tag on the inside left seam as in other TNF products I have, and every other clothing garment I own, nor is there a care label anywhere on the jacket. All other TNF items I have compared it to has a holographic logo on the product care label. 3) The label on the collar of the jacket is quite obviously sewn in crookedly. I know this is not the quality that TNF is known for.

I immediately emailed iBuyDealz and questioned the authenticity of the jacket considering the discrepant tag and demanded that they provide a refund in full not withholding a 15% restocking fee for returns plus the cost of return shipping seeing that the product they sent is likely not "100% genuine" as they proclaim on their site. This is the email I sent: "IBuyDealz Customer Service: I recently purchased from your site a The North Face Denali women's jacket in the color Parachute Purple/Grey. The hang tag on the item I received states the item is "Razzle Pink/Baroque Purple". Is there a reason for the discrepancy of the hang tag to the actual jacket? I am requesting that a refund be made in full not withholding the 15% restocking fee that you state to require for returned items and that you reimburse return shipping being that you sent a discrepant item."

This is the reply I received from a user name TMZfashion: "Dear [my name],we are an outlet, we get our merchandise from previous seasons and closeout deals, we try our best to give our customers the cheapest price out there for a great product, realistically do you really care that the tag indicates a different color? does it really matter? if the jacket fits and looks great for great price you got it in then i dont think an indication of a different color on a tag should make a difference"

To which I replied: "Not really a professional answer from a business. It absolutely does matter when the item in question is suspect as not being authentic no matter how much of a "great price" it was purchased at. The item is, in fact, not authentic being that the tag is discrepant from the actual item; it leads me to believe it is a knock-off in which the tag was later added to make it look 'real'. That means I didn't get what I actually paid for. So, again, yes it absolutely does matter because it begs the question of 'why' it has a discrepant tag in the first place. There is also no laundry care tag on the inside left seam, or anywhere on the jacket for that matter, which is not typical of any legitimate clothing item and especially TNF. I have other TNF items, I know their quality...this does not have it."

I then received this email in response: "i apologize you feel this way [my name], you ordered a certain color and you received it regardless of what the tag says, if your not satisfied with it for any reason you can go ahead and send your order back to: 2152 Ralph Ave #210, Brooklyn NY, 11234. as per our policy, all orders that are returned for a refund will be deducted a restocking fee of 15%"

Please notice that they completely disregarded my questioning of the product care label being non-existent on the jacket. More than one sign points to prove that the jacket I received is a counterfeit The North Face Denali. I wish to return the jacket, but am hesitant to do so considering complaints stemming from a name this company also does business under in which the money was never refunded even though the item was returned. I also don't feel that I should be responsible for paying return shipping nor that they should have the merit to withhold a 15% restocking fee considering they are not selling products that are 100% genuine as they claim on their site. If I do return the jacket in hopes of getting my money back, I would like to add the cost of return shipping and delivery confirmation to total in monetary damages. It is a shame I did not see this website and the reviews on this "business" before I made such a foolish purchase.
