I received a letter 10/09/13 from Magda Salarich stating that a person with the surname Seiver had died 11th March 2006 with an abandoned sum of 26.7m US dollars in our safety deposit vault. Knowing it was a scam, I started playing her game only providing limited information.
As a result I received a telephone call from Magda (3-463-407-0853) and a follow-up email, including an official looking Probate Order, certifying I was a cousin of Desmond Seiver and that the fund would be released to me upon the submission of a letter to David Mata at Banco Caixa Penedes.
I submitted the letter via e-mail and almost immediately received a response acknowledging receiving the letter and that I would be notified within 48 hours of approval.
The next day I received an email from the bank stating the funds would be released to me upon sending a check for $1,730 for courier cost.
The following day I sent an email stating that I was considering flying over to Spain to get the certified check and asking for an address.
As of 10/27/13, I have not had a response.
