the marriott woukd not let me in my room even though i had a key. My family hadd reserved 5 suites there. tHE ROOM WAS not on my credit card but my luggage and Id were left in room while i went to wedding in Plaza. i ame home, the key did not work, Randall the desk person would not give me a new key, saying i could have found key on floor. I asked if security could walk me to room to get my ID, they would not. I had Randall call the other family members, in the hotel, they verified i belonged with them, still not allowed in room for 2 hours. Their claim is i needed ID. the name on the acct was not in my name, so even if I had ID it would not matcch. Also,there are no signs in lobby stating you need id, my name is not on acct, so even with id would it matter? there was also a resident loitering in lobby, picked up my wallet and did not return for 2 hours? The marriott wants to know if there is suspicios activity? Why haven't they called the cops....The GM Mark Irgang has not called, it took 4 days for security tapes to be reviewed, plus they cannot answer why I was not escorted to my room. i called my husband in Coxsackie Ny, he was going to frive down and pick me up, rather than me hang out in a lobby in Manhattan like a vagrant...I have gone to Motel 6 and be treated better.....I WILL NEVER USE ANOTHER MARRRIOTT or any of their affiliates again. At 500.00 for the room after they added all of their charges. the Plaza was only 400.00 with Expedia...still no resolve....
