On 8 October 2013 my (elderly) father tried to join membership at http://members.homewebprofit.com/login-4/ which offered free training for members. He registered and was asked for credit card details for registration only. He gave such details, and received a welcome email as well as a receipt for payment in the amount of USD 0,- which confirms his understanding that this training was free. But a few days later, his credit card was charged in our local currency which amounts to approximately USD110. When we contacted their customer service, he claimed it was only a three day trial, and since they hadn't heard from him, they went ahead to charge it. The thing is, there was no such warning that this was only a three day trial - nowhere on their website nor email stated this. He has now asked them to cancel the membership but we are unsure that they will follow up. We have therefore filed a complaint to our bank and requested them to block the card and process a refund based on fraudulent activity.
