I applied for a loan in September, I received a call and a contract to fill out from a Mark Wilson. I spoke with Mark Wilson again on Oct 3rd, he assured me that I was approved for the loan and that it would be deposited in my account in 30min. I received a call later that he was unable to transfer the money in my account as their was an alert on my account. He went on to tell me that as he checked my credit score it was low therefore I would have to send in $300.00 to show that I could afford the payments. Just getting out of the hospital and not thinking correctly plus needing the money because I am behind on my mortgage, I was told to go and get a Money Pak and load it with 300.00 then scratch off the numbers on the back. That was not enough I had to send them a photocopy of the receipt and the money pak. I was told that they would not touch the money on the card that it would be available to me to use once they see the receipt. This all happen on a Friday, I did not hear from them so I called and they claimed they was sending the money through Western Union but I needed to send in an additional $245.00 to help with the fee. I called Western Union and told them and they said it sounded like a scam. I came home and checked out the company and as I scroll down I saw this was one of the companies tht scam people out of their money.
He is still try to assure me that this is legit, I've had several other loan companies call with the same game.I was off guard but I am on point now and this will not happen again. Being a senior citizen I suppose I was having a senior moment. I truly hope this help someone else not to make this mistake. I am truly in a bind now but I should have been more careful. I've heard of these things happening and people are so cold. The sad thing is I could barely understand what they were saying that should have been a Red Flag. By the way he is still calling for the additional $245.00
