Orbital Promotions is the same company as Oracle Travel Promotions which has had 49 complaints filed against it on Scambook for charging activation fees for round trip air fare and rental car/luxury hotel vouchers provided as gifts by associated travel agencies for attending a sales presentation designed to sell memberships in a vacation club, and not delivering the vouchers. The travel agency involved in the promotion I attended was Painting Pictures Travel allegedly based in Key Largo, FL, however the email I received confirming my appointment to attend the sales promotion was from a company identified as Memorable Vacations, phone 888-794-4347. The presentation took place at a local hotel casino in Reno, NV, after which a staff of sales representatives attempted to sell the invited guests lifetime memberships in a vacation club for $8,500. When we said no thanks, we were given the aforementioned vouchers for our time and trouble. When I checked into Orbital Promotions which had issued the vouchers, I discovered the eariler Scambook complaints against Oracle Travel Promotions, which had a similar mailing address and the same phone number as Oribital Promotions, and thus is the same scam only with a different company name. The address and phone number shown on the vouchers for Orbital Promotions is P.O. Box 6308, Woodbridge, VA 22195. Oribital Promotions has a website at www.orbitalpromotions.com which under the contact link shows the above mailing address and phone 800-991-6482.Oracle Travel Promotions has a similar website at www.oracletravelpromotions.com which under the contact link shows PO Box 2265, Woodbridge, VA 22195 as its mailing address, and the same phone number as Orbital Promotions. I will also be reporting this scam to the Consumer Fraud division of the Nevada Attorney General's Office.

  • I had the same exact experience in Rye Brooke, NY. Same phone number, but here they called themselves "JetStream Promotions". It was a hot sales pitch. The lifetime membership for $8,995, but only if you bought it that night. If you tried "sleeping on it" the same money got you a 10 year membership with a bunch of restrictions. The first couple in the room to sign up got $1,000 off so it became a race to see who coils get suckered first. We bolted for the door, but not before some poor couple bought in. We got the same "Orbital Promotions" voucher for our "free" gift, which cost $70 to "activate" plus taxes on tickets. We are not sending in the money for that either. If you've had a similar experience please post the names being used. They are slick. They ttook the postcard they sent us, so we don't have that evidence. But we have the vouchers. Also, in order to get the vouchers you were required to sign waivers obsolving "JetStream Promotions" (also supposedly of Key Largo FL, but no such company exists there) of any responsibility for anything. I encourage all others who experienced this to post the names used, locations, etc. this is a traveling scam circus and it needs to shut down, and these people need to to jail.

  • HA! So we too attended one of these sales's pitches and I was about to mail in the card and money (both of which I still have) and thought I'd do a search to see if I could do this over the interwebs, just so it'd be faster. Well, imagine my surprise when the FIRST thing that pop's up for Orbital Promotions was this complaint!
So my question, has ANYONE had this work for them? I mean, send in the money and get the airline flights? It's the ONLY reason we went to this thing. Please respond. (Personal Information Removed). Thanks!

  • I was sent a notice in the mail with "Personal & Confidential" written on the notice. I called the number provided. I was told that I would get two round trip tix for airfare & hotel worth $1,398. I asked what the catch was, and I was told that there was no catch. I had to show up at a hotel, Holiday Inn, for a presentation. 1st of all, they overbooked. I guess they wanted as much people there as possible. Anyway, we were given 2 vouchers. One was for the airfare, and the other was for hotel. For the airfare, we had to pay $35 to reserve the offer for a year, and another $70 to mail in our voucher. For the hotel, there was a $25 & a $50 fee. The card mentioned that we would receive our tix within 15 days. As soon as I saw that they were asking for money, I saw the red flag, and that's when I decided to do the research. Does it make sense to pay $180, in total, for something that is supposed to be free? I told hubby that it was too good to be true.

  • I was sent a notice that we had won airline tickets and hotel stay and if we called back to confirm we would get a bonus 100 in free gas. I also went on line and see how this was a scam too. To send money to activate it and then have to pay taxes its not free I bet if you end up doing it you have to pay more for what its worth and you cant go during any holidays. So my guess is its a big scam and they should have to give people real certificates for the time wasted. Who in the right mind would give almost 9000 plus 3hundred and something plus 199 a month to get a lower vacation, and if you didn't pay 199 a month you lost. everything

  • I too wasted my time attending an exceeded expectations presentation which was filled with air and empty promises. Because of your warnings, the Orbital certificates are going in the trash or maybe sent to the NY attorney general. Thanks to you all for the warning. All others be warned this is a scam.
