I inquired about a forklift on Atlanta's Craiglist. It was a nice looking lift at a very good price. I contacted the seller, who had to be part of this scam. He told me that he was out of town taking care of his divorced and expecting (at any moment)and the lift was taken to Miami and was being held at the Known Helping Trading warehouse. I wanted to talk to him over the phone and ask questio ns, but he said he was in an accident and lost his hearing and could only text. I had done some searching on KH Trading and all I found were good reviews, now I suspect they were bogus, because everytime I say anything negative it is taken down immediately. On Sept. 24th we tried to wire $5000 to KHtrading's bank, which is listed on the site as Bank of America. It failed and the money had to be wired to another bank. The website, which showed our invoice had our statement as awaiting payment. I was able to contact KHTrading on their live chat and he was saying that their was some confusion but they had received payment and the lift was scheduled to be shipped on the 27th of Sept. I patiently waited to Sept 28th and then tried to contact the seller and KHTrading. Neither would communicate with me, not by phone, live chat, text, email or fax. I have tried numerous times to contact them, but never heard back.
I did a google street view of their 5823 Rodman Street, Hollywood Fl 33023 location and it turned out to be a beat up automotive shop. By the way, I found that this same lift had sold on ebay $9200. This could be where they got the same exact photos and info on the lift.
