I applied for and was approved for a loan through Eastpointmutual.com; I now know I'm an idiot and have been scammed. They indicated that because of my credit score I would need to buy loan insurance (this was true of several companies). We sent a moneygram to cover this, then we were told it would cost more for taxes (due to Canadian law) so we sent another western union, then we were told that my loan was no longer available because I missed closing and that I qualified for a greater loan but that this would require more fees. We sent one more western union and were promised money transferred within 1 1/2 hours. My bank, 20 hours later, has no pending transfers. The "owner" now called me and told me that the agent messed up and that my account is on hold pending more money. I told him to refund me immediately. He said they can take weeks or even months. Then he said he would try again to close the loan, but, "no promises." Do I have any recourse?

Witness (who actually sent several of the money transfers): Deborah Wilford (she spoke directly to associates at the "brokerage" too) at 253-314-6314. She also has the forms used to transfer money with the receipt numbers.

Nothing yet. I have filed suit with both the American and Canadian officials as well as begun the process of securing an attorney. "Walter Green" has stopped responding to texts/calls/messages and there are no responses to emails sent through the webpage. -
