I am a 22 year old Army national Guardsmen. I was told by a friend craigs list is the best way to find great local trucks for sale. I looked and looked found a couple i was interested in and emailed them with questions. The next day I had 6 emails in return of my previous adventure on craigs list. One in whom stood out he said he was a corpral in the army who was getting deployed October 20th and had to sell fast. Well, i wanted to buy fast it was a beautifl F150 with blackjack rims and so on. He told me Google Checkout would be in contact with me to set up a payment arangment. They did or so i though it was very convincing. I was told to go through Western Union. I feel so stupid!! After I sent the first payment,I got an email stating that they receved it but there was a problem the insurence that was required to travel the truck from NY to VA the policey has changed and since he was in Italy and his Sister couldnt pay it i had to send additional money but this time when the truck gets to me the delivery guy would reumberse me! STUPID right? I got another email stating they got the insurence money and to wait 24 to 48hrs to get the tracking number for the truck.. Im on 96hrs and counting. I decided to investigate. After several emails and no answer i looked back into my emails re-read them and came across the Google checkout rep. well it said "ebay finacial department" so i googled it and what do you know theres no such thing! The address was a dentist office and the money was gone. I took out a loan for this so called truck and spent bouns money from the military i have a 2yr old little boy and a 6month unborn child i truly wish i spent that money on them but ..thats my story thats what happened and thanks for letting me vent.
