We were scammed by Kevin Shook who was to build our girls a playhouse.

Here it is, in a nutshell.
11/30: Contract signed and deposit sent.
12/23: Failed Delivery: Painting is not done and dry
1/6: Moved due to crew availability
1/9: Failed Delivery: Truck wouldn’t start
1/15: Moved again due to crew availability
1/16: Failed Delivery: Son was killed in a motorcycle accident
1/24-2/22: Made repeated attempts to go pick up the playhouse ourselves. No communication due to Kevin’s supposed hospital stay
2/28: Discussed a refund, Kevin asked for two more weeks to deliver
3/1: Agreed on a final date of 3/20 for delivery
3/12: Scheduled delivery on 3/19 or 3/20.
3/19-3/20: Failed delivery with no communication
3/21: Requested refund via email and Kevin agreed to it, but said he was broke
3/22: Agreed to another delivery attempt and Bruzas offered to pay for gas
4/2: Kevin promised to deliver on 4/5
4/5: Failed Delivery: Crew member had a heart attack and died while loading the playhouse
4/10: Kevin promised to deliver on 4/13
4/13: Failed Delivery: No explanation
4/20: Kevin promised to deliver on 4/23 or 4/24
4/22: Kevin confirmed 4/24
4/24: Failed Delivery: Crew unavailable
4/29: Kevin promised to deliver on 5/4 or 5/5
5/5: Failed Delivery: Received letter from Kevin’s brother Allen (?) who claimed that Kevin had both a heart attack and a car accident.
5/13: Performed a background check on Kevin D Shook and confirmed much of the above information to be false. Requested a refund.
5/23: Received response from Kevin stating he had documentation to prove everything, but instead, he cancelled the playhouse order due to being “insulted.”
5/25: Sent certified letter requesting a refund of my deposit.
Present: Still have not received a refund of my deposit.
