I was making a booking through hotelsone. After entering credit card details, the website failed with a grey screen and message "unable to display page". I couldn't retrieve my booking and going back to the beginning saw that rooms were no longer available. I then made another booking through hotelsone with another hotel. HotelsOne had sent seperate emails that day confirming the 2 bookings, but I didn't see them until the next day and immediately advised them that my first booking online had failed and shouldn't have been proceeded with. HotelsOne didn't contact the hotel in question until the day after my supposed check-in and have advised that there will be no refund.
