I received an email while looking for a roommate and responded once to this christie person but realized almost instantly that this was a scam. I waited for her response which was this:
How are you? Thanks for the reply:) .I would have loved to discuss this rental over the phone but i already canceled my contract with service provider because i am moving to the States .I am super busy with big move and a sick mother in the hospital(Christiaan Barnard Memorial Hospital),she's very sick with cancer of the breast :( But my sister will be arriving from Durban to look after her before my trip.

I'm quite comfortable with the available room and Ideally a 6-12 months lease is fine, I am coming from Camps-Bay, Cape Town South Africa and will be arriving on Oct 15th. Attached is a picture of me and a friend,i am the one in black dress :) I decided moving to your town because my friend in the picture actually visited there and told me its awesome :) I am coming with a green card, so i ll be looking for a job upon my arrival. Don't worry about not paying rent on time, i am financially secured ,so, rent will always be paid on time each month.

I'm 29yrs old, an elementary school teacher and divorced female,I am educated(University of Cape Town,Rondebosch),a good Christian,5"5 feet,black hair,very low key and relaxed to live with. I DON'T smoke nor drink but don't mind if flat mates do. I prefer cleanliness than any other traits,I'm honest,neat,responsible,and hard working while I dislike lazy,messy and uncaring people,am quiet and easy going.

I want you to know that I'll have my car shipped prior to my arrival and a little of my stuffs,i am not bringing any furniture,please let me know if there will be enough room for them?

Moreover,Let me also know how i can go about securing the place down before my arrival to show serious commitment as I am also busy with travel plans. My Uncle can issue you a US certified Money Order if that's OK because he's in the states and can put it in the mail asap from Denver Colorado. I ll like to see more pictures of the room if you can send to my email. thanks :)

The message was a bunch of copy and paste in different fonts so I just out of curiosity looked the name up and found this!! SMDH #peoplethesedays
