I purchased a custom animation video production package from their website. Since I was on a budget I opted for a custom quote. A person by the name Joe reached out and agreed that his company will make the video for USD500 and also said that they will give same discount price for a second video if I wish to make another one. I paid for it and work began.

During subsequent phone calls for update on progress, Joe also mentioned that his company does eCommerce websites. Since I was looking to get 2 eCommerce stores made, I agreed to give them this work.

The price of first website was quoted USD2,500 and USD1,300 for the second one. Very promptly Joe requested 50% payment on both projects for kick-off. I paid almost immediately using my Credit Card. After a lot of issue with the first video, they finished it. The website projects started way after the payments because Joe started giving excuses for delays.

Nonetheless the work began on first website and he sent me 3 templates for review and none of them were acceptable. Finally I got one of my graphic designer friend to do do a PSD mock-up and sent it to explendidvideos team. I then asked them to convert this PSD to HTML and integrate into the website engine that they were using. Very early in the project I was certain that they are not website people and I was facing a fraud. I ignored my fears and continued to work with them to get it to work but repeated edits did not get us anywhere. All this is only for the first website and meanwhile the second website was on hold and no one worked on it although we had agreed that due to urgency of the project both projects will be worked on simultaneously. Frustrated with them, at this point I decided to call it off and asked for full refund on website projects. After weeks of my ignored emails requesting refund, lies that billing is processing refund and one nasty phone call with Joe, I received an email stating that they cannot refund as the work on first website had started already and I am welcome to continue to work on it with them and the USD650 charged for second website is adjusted for a second video for which I owe them USD500 therefore only USD150 can be refunded from a total payment of USD 1900. There is no written agreement that if I purchase 1 video for USD500, I must get another one made and also there is no signed agreement that if I don't go ahead with a second video, payment made for a website project can be adjusted for a video project.

Inspite of me providing them with basic HTML to built the site which I was not suppose to (why would I contract it out otherwise?), I sent back a humble request that they deduct whatever I owe them for HTML work on first site and refund the rest and also issue full refund on second website payment for which zero work was done. This fell on deaf ears and they choose to again ignore me. Joe is aware that I am a overseas customer and there is little I can do from this distance. I should have smelled fraud way too early when he refused to give his company location and detail address.

This guy opereates from 3 different websites beware.

a)www.explendidvideo.com/
b)www.videojeeves.com/
c)www.greatglassmedia.com/

Enverything on the website is fake there is no such company. Joe kept saying they have 120 Designers and I am almost certain that there is only one person running this fraud camp.
