I had an issue where I needed to recover a Microsoft Word document from the previous day that I had somehow saved an incorrect document over the correct document. I searched in google for ways to reocver a Word document and Omni-Support was one of the first choices google offered. I was told that for $249.99 a technician would remote into my computer, run a detailed scan, diagnose the problem and then resolve the issue. After giving them remote access to my computer, the technician ran a scan that showed that my computer had several "polymorphic" issues and mutiple other issues and viruses. After the scan, the tech spent 2 hours clicking back and forth between screens, doing absolutely nothing close to resolving my initial complaint of retreiving a Word document from the previous day. After 2 hours of zero progress, I cancelled the remote access and demanded a refund for the services that I was told they were going to provide me. I later learned (from an IT professional) that the scan they performed deleted everything out of my temp folder (which I learned is where I would have recovered the document I was initially looking for). The technician also deleted everything from my recycle bin, therefore, I had no chance of recovering the document. I have filed a fraud claim on my credit card account that I provided, but have not had a resolution from the card company yet, although I will make certain that this SCAM ARTIST COMPANY does not recieve a penny from me!!! BEWARE OF OMNI-TECH SUPPORT- they are a bunch of foreigner's (India) who use big words to convince fragile people like myself that they will resolve my issue promptly. FYI my computer did not and thankfully after they had access to my computer, does not have any viruses. My AVG protection was and still is active. DO NOT BELIEVE THEIR LIES!!

  • In this instance, the complainer hasn’t revealed any details with which we can use to determine if this person is actually our customer in the first place, or is a competitor trying to cast doubt on us. We invite this person to provide some actual details like, date of supposedly contacting us, the customer ID he/she was given, or his/her email address, so that we can investigate further into this particular case and resolve it, if it is real. On this alleged situation we are unable to comment on anything.
Generally, our technician runs a free diagnosis on the customer’s computer to uncover the root of the problem as the initial troubleshooting step. Some issues are obvious, such as help being needed in setting up a home network, but in others, the diagnosis may uncover registry errors or malicious software. The diagnosis process does not delete any temp files or data and does not empty the recycle bin. We might have checked the customer’s computer and it showed some system errors, broken registry entries and polymorphic viruses. The price of $249.99 is not only for a one time issue fix, but it also includes 6 months of unlimited technical support along with the initial issue resolution, which he/she failed to mention in this complaint.

If the customer’s issue wasn’t fixed, then he/she would have got his/her money back instantly as per our Terms & Conditions, which our customers must agree to before we commence work. The fact that this request was not made does not lend credence to this complaint. We provide quality, affordable technical support from our offices in India, The Philippines and the United States (we are a global company), and always try to provide the best services to our customers. We have earned and maintained an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau, which tells about our trustworthy service at any point of time.
