We also were promised 2 free airline tickets and free 3 days in a luxury hotel in return for listening to a travel presentation. We turned down membership (when asked key questions like, "How do I know you are a legitimate business?", they said no information was available).
We, too, were handed certificates, only to discover that there were previously undisclosed fees involved just to activate the coupons($180. in up front fees for both). We will report to the New York attorney general's office. This is false advertising, at minimum.
