I paid Omnitech 359.99 for 1 yr of unlimited support. On Jun 30,2013 for a fix on browser and Flash Player crashes, plus I had the blue screen memory dump. They took control of my computer remotely and I watched what they were doing. They did nothing but things I had already tried or things I can do on my own. It didn't fix the problems. Not one. Over the next 7 days and 10 sessions with their "professional" support team. The problems still existed. Every tech tried the same techniques including chkdsk which takes 3 1/2 hours to complete. Needless to say, with 10 chances and the amount of time I spent online with them, their support is a joke. Their techs do not even know you cannot call in to their support between the hours of 11pm and 5am pacific time. They aren't kidding anyone. Their support is outsourced overseas to underpaid people with basic computer knowledge. You will not get help from this company unless you absolutely know nothing about computers. Even then, chances are, you won't have success. Anybody with the slightest computer talent will be able to tell right away that their support is a sham. In the end, the last tech installed SPYWARE program on my computer that changed my home page, search engine and added a toolbar. I told him to get it off of my machine. He went to the browser add-ons and removed from there. Well that only removes it from the particular browser. I told never mind, I'll do it myself and ended the support session. I removed it thru the control panel as he should have done. I have received no less the 12 calls or emails asking me to reconnect with their support people. I told them they will never get access to my computer again. I filed a complaint with Los Angeles, California BBB. That's where it stands now. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. That defines the talent of the support techs from Omnitech.

  • Mr. Lou Andelmo contacted us on September 29, 2013 with a Windows Live Mail issue and signed up with us for our Annual System Assurance plan by paying $359.99, which includes monthly maintenance and UNLIMITED tech support. We resolved his issue and he confirmed the issue resolution. Later on the same day the customer came back to us with another issue: unwanted pop ups and we fixed that issue too. We got issue resolution confirmation from the customer.

Since signing up with us, the customer contacted us several times to fix a number of different issues. Among those issues, one issue was “Blue screen error and browsers are shutting down frequently”. We fixed this issue several times but the issue was reoccurred. The Blue screen error issue is considered to be considered as a complex issue. Our technical Lab worked on the issue and suggested a repair of the customer’s computer OS. However, we never got a fair chance to perform those troubleshooting steps. As a result the issue remained unresolved.

Recently, on July 12, 2013 we were able to communicate with the customer and then he informed that he already made a BBB complaint and wants a refund. In spite of spending great deal of time and resolving several issues, we refunded Mr. Lou Andelmo $60 for the inconvenience. Below are the refund transaction details:

    Transaction Approved:
    Transaction ID: 476336500
    Auth Code: C36500

We hope that the refund would resolve this dispute and we can consider this case as closed. He had received hours of support from us. By the way, we are available 24/7/365 and have offices in India, The Philippines and in the USA, so his comment about not being able to reach us between 11pm and 5am is not correct. OmniTech Support is an organization where we always try to value the customer’s business and to satisfy them with their purchases. That’s why we have earned and maintained an A+ rating from BBB.
