I was contacted by phone to be awarded 2.5mil. I was told that I was randomly selected because I shop at Wal Mart. I was asked to pay a fee for insurance as listed above. I told them I was unemployed with a child that is medically challenged and am not able to pay. They continued to lower the fee to $500 and ASSURE me that this is REAL.

I was told I was talking with a Antonio, from Cash Awards America. Antonio emailed me a copy of a check drawn on Bank of America and referred me to a Thomas Wade to express my financial challenges in hopes to avoid fees and issue the check. I was also told to email why I could not pay. I sent a detailed correspondence; the fact that I am unemployed, the fact that my daughter has a debilitating health condition with the names of doctors involved, and my plans for the money which included bills, health care and establishing a group home for at risk teens.

Mr. Wade insisted that there was nothing he could do, that the fee reduction to the $500 was the bottom line.

Concerned about fraud I tried to find out more about the company. These gentlemen told me that they dealt with the Bank of America in Charlotte, NC with the area main office being Norwalk CT (1602 Hewitt Ave. zip 98201). I called 1-866-755-6670 and there was a discrepancy in these locations. Charlotte, NC was not listed as a headquarters site. I also could not get a contact number for Cash Awards America.

I received another call Monday 9/12/11 from Antonio to see if my financial status had changed and that he understood my circumstance, felt for my daughter and the challenges we face and he was still trying to get the fee dropped. I have not heard anything else to date.

I waited this long to find out what my recourse should be. I have filed a case with my local police, contacted Bank of America and am prepared to pursue all legal action to potentially stop this scam. I am not only embarrassed but am angered that someone would prey upon people so vigilantly.

I have saved the emails of the check and my correspondence to be used as needed.

Thank you for your time and attention to this claim.

Respectfully,
Sharon Austin-Edwards
