I am an Australian and I have just received on my Australian telephone (Telstra) a message from a UK number - +447432104953.
Message as follows - Congrats! Your Mobile Number was selected as a winner of $2,000,000 (Pounds) Draw number 101231/13 on FREE LOTTO Email: [email protected] to claim prize
I have not responded to it as I recognised it as a scam. Who in UK knows my number? Answer - NO ONE, I have NEVER registered for any UK based Lotto andhave never been to the UK.
