REtain divorce lawyer with a payment plan of $1,000.00 deposit and $500.00 each month to reach $2,000.00. At the end of Febuary this Lawyer request that I send ina check for $1500.00 more. I explain that Ican not afford to make checks to hime like that because that is more than I bring home a month..... Then BIvens got upsets and begin ato say I never retained him. He said that I could get the divorce oon the first day for $2,000 plus having my husband served. I called him and asked fo a meeting. I begin to ecplain to him my understanding of the $1500.00 paid was a retainer. then he begin to insult me. I am hourly $253.00 an hour on the contract. This is not what we discussed. He has insulted me as a woman....and a wife. He has delayed and refused wo preform what I asked for in the divorce... He refuse to give back unused $$$. He subpeona my husband's job ans asked for his personell file!!! He was suppose to get his financial records for las three monthe and total earinngs 3years, w-2 for 3 years and what is the amount in my huband's retirement account. Instead he request the entire personnel file from Sunbelt Rentals and asked me fro $575.00. He did not check to see if the returned items from Sunbelt were exactly what her requested. He kept them for nearly a month.....I paid $575.00 and the stack of 575 copies at a $1.00 a page included employee booklets for retirement benefits and insurance, past direct deposits, promissory notes 2007, sheet that had black all over and not legible, duplicated documenmts more thatn 200 and copies of every check that my husband has collected. this was unnecessary because he had summaries of checks and time used. Within the entire stack, I had 41 copies relevant to fillingout the affidavit!!!!! I called him on 06/22/13 going theough the packet, he refused to come ot the phone, nor did he call me back until I return all 575 pages and a $41.00 check...... He called another 24hrs later. I do not make this kind of money for this attorney to take advantage of me.... He also had me sign a withdrawl form on 06/19/13... He fail to represent me until the end.
