Work Out World

Member of the gym Work Out World. My wife went into the ladies locker room to wash her hands after working out and found two female employees cleaning. There was a third employee (male) in the ladies locker room sitting on the counter hanging out with the female employees. (Later we found out he was not even on the clock and took off before the police arrived.)

My wife went to the desk to ask for the manager's name and phone number. He was not there at the time.
She was given an attitude and asked what did she need it for. When my wife and I talked, and she was upset, I wanted to get the young man's name so when we spoke to the manager we could say who it was.
The girl at the desk refused to give his name and I asked to use the phone to call the police, she grabbed the phone from my hand and claimed I hurt her. The police came and spoke to all parties involved. The girl at the desk proceeded to tell us we had to leave.
She also threatened to cancel our membership.

We met with the manager the following day, Friday June 14. He claimed he would meet with the employees involved and take action and call us the following Monday or Tuesday June 17th or 18th. He never called and my wife had to call him this Tuesday, June 25th. His mind had to be refreshed when she gave him her name. He then said the regional manager had to take care of it and he will call us back.

We want to cancel our membership because we feel uncomfortable (there may be men in the ladies locker room and we have to face and be stared at by employees) and now are being told we have to give them 30 days notice to cancel.

This is the most mismanaged business I have ever seen. Ever since Work Our World took over Bally's the cleanliness, organization and overall staff has completely gone down hill.

It appears that they will accept anyone as an employee and do not care about the quality of their product and their public relations with members.

It seems to be a scam, the members have to pay the penalty but the employees do not. We are not cancelling just to cancel. We have a legitamate reason. Is there anything we can do about this? Looking for guidance and suggestions.
