Complaint 248021 Details

I have been dealing with Ortega Financial for over two months. The other complaints mimic my experience.
I was sent a "legally binding document" from Tasha Ortega and presented with three options to obtain the loan. I, as many others, chose to pay a fee in advance. It is the cheapest option. Of course, the money never arrived.
I was then transferred over to Timothy Edwards in "customer care". His story is consistent with other complaints seen here. Through conversation he admitted Ortega Financial Company is not loan company but insurance company (option three) as there money maker. This is also very unlikely.
He also attempted to get me to send more money in order to secure a lender. When I refused, he back peddled and said he would make a few calls and get back to me. Not surprisingly, he phoned back that very afternoon to inform me that he had secured a lender if I would send an additional $400 to prove to the Jamaican Government that this money wasn't being used for illegal activity.
Obviously this doesn't make much sense and I requested to be refunded immediately. At this point I was quite aware that this is a fraud.
Mr. Edwards informed me that it could take up to 30 business days to receive my refund.
30 days later, May 22, no money.
Since that time I have been on the phone daily with Mr. Edwards to hopefully force the issue. I am now on the third promised date of refund. I can't say that I believe I will get the money back, however, I simply cannot just let it be.
