  • Michael,

I'm very sorry to hear about what happened to you. Unfortunately, the average student isn't going to know the difference between real accreditation and garbage accreditation offered by schools like Woodfield. UAAOE is not a real accrediting body and is not recognized by the Dept. of Education, subsequently it will never be accepted by any college. It is most likely just a web page built by the owners of Woodfield so that they can deceive students such as yourself.

There are only 6 high school accreditors that are universaly accepted: SACS, NCA, NWAC, WASC, MSA/CESS, and NEASC.  Do a search for "6 regional accreditors" or visit this page: http://www.franklinvirtualschools.com/accreditation_map.asp

If you want to be sure a college or employer will accept your high school, it must be one of the 6 regional accreditors on that list, period. Anything else is either very risky or a straight forward scam.

Other things to watch out for:

    1) Is the school in the United States?
    2) 800 numbers are only $9/month, ask them what country they ship from.
    3) Is the coursework too easy? Were you not able to fail?
    4) Are they registered or licensed by the Dept of Education?
    5) Are they BBB members?
    6) Do they have a Collegeboard.org school code (CEEB)?
    7) Google the school name. Are there dozens of complaints?

You can get a 10% discount at FVHS if you have been scammed by another school. To qualify, simply fax us a copy of your fake diploma with your name clearly printed on it.

    Sincerely,

    Alex Wolfram
