I was looking for a pomeranian and found an advertisement on a website in mexico, it was written in bad spanish, they said they were looking for someone to adopt to baby pomeranian, I just "had to pay the shipment" the "lady" who "owned" the puppies was very nice on her emails, she looked concerned about the place where the puppies would live and the purpose of the adoption (for breeding or for company).
I got really excited about it, emails came and went with the owner, she said the money should be payed to the shipping company, that there was no monetary interest for her.
And so the "shipping company" Pet courrier delivery got in touch with me, said I should pay $350 USD for the shipping i Western Union or Money Gram, and that it should be payed ASAP because otherwise the puppies would have to spend the night there and I should pay for that, and so I naively did... I payed and sent the ticket t them. They answered really fast and sent me a very well made "ticket" with a bar code and everything! They also sent me an "itinerary" the puppies would fly from wherever they were to New Jersey for transit and then to Mexico, but there was no flight information, I asked for it and they said they would send it to me when the puppies were on the plane.
The next day I get an email from "New Jersey Pet Courrier" asking me to pay $550 USD for an "insurance fee" but what called my attention is that they were talking about parrots and puppies at the same time, apparently the puppies should be in New Jersey just for transit, so they had already flown from somewhere to NJ, the flight from NJ to Mexico was supposed to leave at 1:30 and I got the email at 2:30. The email was also with huge adverrtising and pictures and the name of the company and everything. What also worried me was that the money should be sent to Cameroon, how come if the "deal was in the US"???!!! Still the pressure was on... so I gathered and payed the money... Since that was eird I got to the internet to know about the compay there was a huge and colored advertisement saying: "If you are asked to send money by Western Union or Money Gram it´s a scam" my blood went to the floor, I checked the emails and they were @hotmail or gmail, that's when I knew for sure it was a scam...
Of course I sent them an email saying that they would pay for all the wrong they've made and such and dind't hear from them... 'till the next day... the "owner" said everything was fine and that the puppies would get here as soon as the 5 day quarentine was over . I never heard from the delivery company again... But I also found a website where there were complaints too and they also asked them for money for a quarentine fee.
This people play with others emotions and excitement about having a pet... please spread the word!!!
