Privpro, which I found out today, is a subsidiary of Spokeo, and Spokeo have been charging my PNC account a monthly fee for no reason. I knew they wanted to collect a monthly charge and cancelled the account, but they plan to charge me until June, 2013. They have collected monthly charges for doing nothing even though I cancelled the account over a month ago. I want them to stop charging my account and give me a credit for all the months after I cancelled immediately!

All Spokeo subscriptions are subject to automatic renewal until manually cancelled by the user. Spokeo is a People Search Engine, providing premium access to members who wish to perform name, phone, email or username look-ups. Since our Premium services are only available through subscription-based plans, accounts will automatically renew if left active. This is to prevent any service interruption. We do try to make this very clear on our payment page by including it in the disclaimer which has to be agreed to before the purchase is processed. The information is included in the confirmation receipt sent immediately after payment, as well as in our Terms of Use. I do apologize again if this was unclear in any way.
In addition, the charge you see under PrivPro is a service offered by Identity Protection. Identity Protection is an identity theft protection provider and offers 30-day free trials. You may have activated their services through their promotion on our website.
