I tried to apply for a short term loan of £100 recently. I was redirected to the Loan Options page where I was advised that they had lenders who would accept me for a loan. Because I was desperate, I agreed to join Loan Options (I also read the small print which stated that they would refund my money within 30 days if I was not satisfied) I then applied with their lenders and was turned down by every one. £64.00 was then taken from my account, and I applied for a refund. I spoke to Sophie on 01656 672699 who advised me that they normally only agree to refund £30 but "she wanted to help me out" so would refund me £45. I argued this for some time, as the website was very misleading. I was told that they had lenders who would accept me but this was no true. This is the basis of my complaint. Misleading information has been given: ie assurances of the loan I required, advised that they would refund my money, and then keeping £20 of it. I understand that they are a company and need to "protect themselves" but they are doing this by deliberatly misleading people. Can you get the rest of my money back?
