National Modification Preparation (NMP) was listed on the internet in a flyer stating they could help modify one's mortgage loan. I got in contact with them and gave them some preliminary information to see if they could be of any assistance to me. After examining the income and mortgage information they said that they could possible help me modify my loan. I signed a contract on 12/10/2010 and was given an Client ID # NMP95063467. I also wired the company $2200 for their services. Under the contract, if all the information was provided to NMP, which it was, and the Loan Modification was denied they would have an additional 60 days to try to find other solutions to provide a loan modification. The Loan modification was denied and a copy of the denial letter was furnished to NMP as per contract and was this receipt of the denial letter was acknowledged. At this time I was given a form to sign giving NMP the ability to negotiate in my behalf. I signed the form and faxed it the same day then proceeded to wait 60 days to either get a loan modification or my $2200 back. When I requested the refund of my money, on 06/09/2011, I was told that they never received the signed authorization form (which I did fax to them). I was then sent the authorization form again, which I immediately signed and returned. I requested confirmation of receipt of the second authorization. The confirmation of the receipt of the second authorization form was acknowledged on 06/12/2011. I then proceeded to wait another 60 days to see if any loan modification was forth coming and if not I then proceeded to try to get the refund of my money. I tried to email and call NMP on 08/12/2011 and their phones were disconnected and the emails were undeliverable.
