I never actually lost any money to this individual, but he had posted an add on Craigslist selling two Bengal kittens. I had contacted him, but he told me that he lived in Delaware and had to ship the kittens. He was willing to ship the cats to any state because he was "desperate" to find a good home for them. The add was very convincing, asking a lot of questions to make him seem like a concerned cat owner. He had claimed to have vet records and VICA certifications, but when I asked to see the paperwork he upped the price by $50 to send me the documents. The payment was supposed to be through Western Union, but as soon as I told him I wasn't comfortable with sending him the money, he ended the conversation pretty quickly, most likely under the suspicion that I had figured it was a scam. I have seen other reports of his scams as well.
