I was attracted to Raider Publishing International because they said they are an organisation of authors for authors and that they were tired of the way other publishers treated writers.

My manuscript was personally accepted by Adam Salviani and he was oh so supportive and enthusiastic, contacting me every few days to ask if he could help me with anything. He became more "attentive" when I delayed the signing of the contract because I first had to scrape the money together to pay for the Bronze Package (about ZAR 7000.00) and when I asked if I could pay in instalments, he was perfectly fine with it. He continued to hound me and as soon as I sent through the last payment, he disappeared. Never to be heard from again. I was given an 'assistant' that changed about three times before the title was removed and I was told to contact a GDB (general dog's body) and even she didn't last long.

My manuscript was accepted on the 1st of January, 2012 and since then, my book hasn't even been edited. I had it edited beforehand so even if they do publish it on the sly, my name isn't a total joke. Hopefully. I finally managed to get an example of my book's cover out of them and I could do exactly the same thing with CorelDraw with better results! A few months after they sent me the cover, I lost it so i asked them for it again and they evaded every time.

The last contact I had with Raider was more than a month ago and despite more than one email, I've heard nothing. Not a peep so I have finally accepted that my book will not be published in the near future. I'm just sorry they took me for such a fool and I really, really hope other people like me do their research thoroughly before just signing the dotted line.

I want nothing more than to see these parasites brought down but I have no idea how to proceed so if anyone can help me or if I can help anyone, please leave a comment.
