Requested information package for $9.95.Online Business Systems. Then called by a person who has been in the business a very short time with his direct upline on the other line. Very pushy, insisted I get in at the Supervisor level so I would immediately begin to earn 50% profit. $2,000.00 gets you Herbalife products of their choosing. Once your in, then there are the expenses of setting up credit card processor ( Merchant Account) around $200.00 plus monthly fees and other fees. Right away you are forced to buy "Leads" which have been generated somehow. $1500.00 a pop for 10 leads. This went on while taking training sessions. Stayed on phone hours at a time attempting to make contact with leads. I found three people who would listen then ended up rejecting the Business Plan. My direct upline had little to no help for me. Always had to contact his upline for answers.
Attended a training conference in Dallas, TX for 4 days. Flight, meals and hotel accommodations plus tips. Conference turned out to be more Bragging and awarding than training. Expensive "rally". Fast forward, $8-9,000.00 later I throw in the towel. Complain to Herbalife International. Just read two e-mails the other day that Herbalife Intnl has taken OBSs' recognition and they are no longer allowed to use the OBS name, marketing materials of any kind generated by OBS or sell leads of any kind. That's all well and good, but that still leaves me in debt around 10k and my husband divorced me because of the bill. We could not afford the payments. Promises were made that if you just stick with it, you, too, will move up the ladder of success. OBS was all about recruiting and little about selling product. They don't even say what the business opportunity is until the last of the proposal. I was forced to go by the scripts and actually lie or over-inflate the income opportunities. When I told my upline I was uncomfortable with these tactics, his reply was " well, you just have to get used to it" He was a retired salesman. need I say more?
