I was trying to purchase a car report for the advertised rate of $1. Somehow I was redirected to Carinfo1.com and then charged $19.95 for the purchase. I called Carinfo1.com immediately after it happened and was told it would be refunded.
The fee shows up on my credit card statement in November. I called on 11/28/12 to seek a refund. I spoke with Sheila (ID 514) who said it would take 3-5 business days to receive a credit. She even gave me a "cancellation ID".
Today I see that nothing has happened. I called again and spoke with Sean. After 30 MINUTES on the phone of "give me just 90 more seconds and I will keep researching" he came back and said it was "taken care of". I asked him if he had a cancellation number. Here is the good part. He said "[he] was too dumb to come up with one of those."
I think the dummy here is me for being sucked in to something that I didn't want and thinking that I am ever going to see my money back. Three calls later and 30 minutes of my time holding on to the hope that I am really going to be reimbursed. Biggest scam ever!!!!! Buyer beware.
Look out Josh, I had 30 minutes to read all of the internet reviews about your company.
