I was in the market for a car and wanted a hybrid. I did not know Honda Civic came in hybrid until I got to the lot so I did not have much time to research however thought Honda was a trusted name I could rely on. I opted for a 2009 and we decided on a price I did not feel was great but agreed to it anyway. Days after I saw my MPG was dropping. It was advertised at 40 MPG with a 7 mile 'cushion' in the small print. After doing research on this I found there are many pending cases regarding misrepresentation. I am currently only getting 30 MPG and Honda will not do anything for me. I believe Honda was aware of this problem and did not disclose it as it would have had a detrimental effect on my decision. I bought this car because its a hybrid and I'm not getting hybrid mileage.
