Linkedin and whoswho

I followed a link from linkedin to the whoswho.com website. It clearly states on their page 'NO COST FOR INCLUSION'.

They telephoned me for the 'Interview'at a time when I was very busy and stressed in the middle of the working day in a home based animal shelter. After the interview she convinced me that being included would greatly beneficial to our Animal Shelter. Amid the noise around me, I thought she said $100, so I gave her my personal debit card number. An hour or so later I was online on my bank account and saw €454 had been debited. I emailed whoswho immediately and cancelled and I called my bank to cancel the transaction. Sadly, the bank said I was too late. They advised me to cancel the card, which I did. Then I got a call from whos whos' Jennifer J from NY who offered me a $200 refund as a non profit. I explained that I had cancelled the card and she said that didn't matter as they could put it back in my account. Then I get a resolution email to sign with the card details on it....the cancelled card... I am upset, with myself for being scammed but mainly by linkedin whom I trusted to be a reputable site and not one that advertises scammers. I do hope Karma visits whoswho soon.
