Responded to my "featured selections" as I always do, and assumed everything was fine. On 2/24, $45 was removed from my bank account. I contacted Doubleday, and was informed that "my order" was canceled, with no mention of the stolen funds. As far as I'm concerned, if you take money, and don't ship anything, that is theft. I am emailing every hour (monitoring the bank account to see if a refund magically appears) until it's resolved. I've got the time, and I've got insomnia. Tomorrow, if no credit has been received, I start calling every 5 minutes. If no resolution after that, I locate their head office, and file a police report for fraud. Do NOT sign up for this. It's nearly impossible to get out of, and their books are way overpriced!
