Exactly the same... sent an item worth £150 when bought new to the British Gold Refinery on the 3rd January 2013. Wish I never had.

Was told they would give me £20 for my item so requested it to be sent back.

Still haven't received it after many emails, phone calls which go through to answer phones.

Already reported to Action Fraud, will be contacting the police next.

Again, it's not the fact I may never see the ring again, I can't believe this company is being allowed to operate still especially after I have since seen that they were featured on Rip Off Britain.

Use Hatton Garden Metals next time you want to sell gold, they are 100% true to their word from personal experience.

Just wondering did you manage to get any response from British gold refinery? Same situation as you - I sent them items worth about £150 and then once I declined their offer of £104 they didn't respond to me and are uncontactable - any advise would be really appreciated - anita
