I went online to check my bank statement, and noticed a charge for $64.14 from Doubleday BMC. I called them, and was told I had put in an order for the introductory offer of 5(?) books for however much. I did not put in any order at all. Years ago, I was a member. I had asked-a number of years ago-to have my account shut down. They kept my account open, assuring me it was there if I ever wanted to use my member benefits. I never thought they'd keep my account information for this long, and feel free to charge me for something I didn't order!
