I have been receiving phone calls on my home phone the last few Sunday mornings telling me I won millions of dollars.Knowing these are scams, I hang up. Today I got another call telling me I won 3.5 million dollars and an additional $30,000.00. Because I have a senior citizen living in my household who sometimes has trouble understanding a phone call, I decided to play along with the call. The call came in from Jamaica. The guy on the other end was difficult to understand. I played along. He asked questions. Do you have bank accounts? Are you married, divorced, or single? Do you want the information kept confidential? I gave him vague answers and kept telling him I didn't understand what he was telling me. Then he asked if there was a CVS Pharmacy, Walmart or KMart new me where UPS could deliver my documents to me. I told him that this sounds like a scam and Im not interested. I hung up and he called back a couple times. I have the phone number. It came up on caller ID. This kind of stuff really concerns me. Older people who get confused easily on the phone can be giving away their bank account numbers to scammers. This needs to stop.
