Received a phone call saying that my son had won an android tablet, but because he's a minor they changed the winner's name to mine. The rep gave me all the "positive" side of winning ie. the tablet, $50 gift certificate to Winners, savings that can be had at numerous retail stores etc. etc., he would then say that all I had to do was put aside $6.95/week for 60 months. Couldn't quite understand him, so asked for clarification. He told me that would be the cost of membership, which I had to drag out of him, even then, he didn't use those exact words. When asked if I could cancel any time, he wouldn't answer and transferred me over to his supervisor when I asked the same question, she didn't answer me but proceeded to ask for my credit card information. I decided to check the web about this club (before giving out any more info, especially my credit card #) and low and behold, lots of complaints. I told the supervisor at this point that I was not interested, several times, but she would not listen and kept going on and on about all the savings. My husband who happened to be beside me grabbed the phone and proceeded to tell the lady that I had declined the free tablet and the offer, but she kept talking and once again would not listen, so my husband hung up on her. Talk about being extremely pushy!
I got on my son's case for entering on-line, but he insisted that he never entered anything. The information they did have was my son's name, email address and our home phone number, not sure where they got it from.
So, long and the short of it, there's no such thing as a "free" android tablet, if you signing up, you will pay for the android tablet and a HECK OF A LOT MORE.
