I have multiple complaints with Christian Mingle website, but the priority one at this time is that they are deceitful in business practice and mix membership and billing terms that one is easily tricked, deceived or manipulated and forced into automatic renewals. Customers agree to membership agreement believing that they are agreeing to not post false, misleading, vulgar or inappropriate content on the site. However, Christian Mingle declares that that they have agreed to automatic renewal fees to be placed on their credit card or extracted from bank accounts. They justify this by saying that they stated on receipts "about" their automatic renewals. But because they mix billing in membership agreement and not separate from billing the customer does not realize that they are agreeing to automatic renewals. The customer does not check a specific box and agree to automatic renewals nor does Christian Mingle bother to send a notice that auto renewal fees will be coming up. This is definitely deceitful and not at all a Christian way of handling business.

I could not reach them by phone and finally figured out how to email them, but got the same administrator, Cara, who seems to be the only administrator. They supposed have thousands of paying customers, so I am beginning to wonder if Cara is really a real person of just a computer generated automatic answering service. Or maybe there are hundreds of people all trained to spit out the same responses to questions or concerns.

Whatever the case, Better Business Bureau should take down their rating of Christian Mingle if they would bother to read all of the comments where people feel they have been scammed and ripped off.
