This company advertised on television an aluminum case for holding credit cards---The promotional price was $10.99 plus shipping. They were offering a promotional deal---buy one and get one free. I phoned their 800 number to order---All I was able to get in contact with was an automated program (no live party in which to place an order) The first thing they did was to ask me for my credit/debit card information---after giving this information---the ordering process began---I ordered just one and the free-be. After this they then began telling me about additional products to purchase. I gave them a "no" for everyone of them.
Finally after about 25 or 30 minutes of them presenting other products to purchase they finally concluded.
I had ordered the item for my son and his wife that live in Indianapolis and requested them to ship it to them.
The next day when I went on line to check my banking activities---I noted they had charge my account $54.93 for the order. I went to my bank and explained that the amount was incorrect. They in turn turned it over to their Fraud Division and they then issued me a credit of $43.93. On 9/6/2011 I again received a charge on my account for the $43.93 credit I had received (They called it a reverse transaction) I again went to my bank and was advised they had sent them a copy of the original invoice showing the charge of $54.93 was correct and stating they had sent the invoice to me---this was a lie---I never received an invoice of any kind. At this point the fraud division of the bank advised I would have to handle the manner directly with Tel Aluma Wallet and I was given an 800 number to call. When I called them explained that I had only ordered the one item (plus the free-be) They denied my statement of just ordering the one and said I had ordered 3 sets of their deal. I told them this was a scam on their part and I wanted the $43.93 credit given back to me. They said they would not do that but they would credit my account for $10.00
to compensate for the mix up.
It is my belief that this company is nothing but a scam operation and undoubtedly they were scamming others as well as me. They should be reported to the Federal Trade Commission and fined for their unfair business practices. Also they should be made to make restitution to customers they have scammed.
