My Christmas present was to be scamed out of 270dkr by pointpay.dk why is it so easy for companies like this to get around laws and find loopholes. Its only now after finding out that I have unwillingly been put into a contract that I have found I am not the only person to fall into their trap.....oh and to top it all off every person that has been through customer complaints within this AND the uk companies has coincidentally spoken to exactly the same person.

This is the conversation so far in my attempts to have the money refunded to my account.

I purchased Spore a pc game for 62kr and also payed 5 kr for the membership. However when i checked my account a further 270kr has been taken from my account even though i have not purchased anything else from you. In my bank account it says that it is you POINTPAY that has taken the 62kr the 5 kr and the 270 kr.
please contact me as soon as possible with options on how you will rectify this problem.

You have been charged 270 kr. because you did not cancel the VIP subscription within the trial period. The purchase you made included a VIP membership, this was clearly stated in the terms and conditions.

Hi Katie,
I would like you to cancel my subscription Immediately.
When I had accepted your terms and conditions I was under the understanding that the 5 day membership would run out and I would be released from the subscription without any subsequent renewal. As you can tell from the fact I am emailing you in English I am not fluent in danish and did not fully understand what I was agreeing to. The fact that you do not provide a terms and conditions in English (or did not advertise the fact that there is this option) further leads me to believe I have been mislead and did not fully understand what I had accepted.
As a result and to quote "Your purchase of VIP membership is accompanied by a withdrawal period of 14 days."
I am within my 14 days and would like to withdraw, I will be calling tomorrow to follow this up.
I understand that I have accessed the point shop website and corrected information after receiving an email. At no point in this email was it expressed that I was using any subscription ( at this point to my understanding my VIP membership should have run out) I had corrected my information as the purchased item was a joint gift and both my name and the name the email was addressed to had been mixed up. My intention was to rectify this mistake NOT to sign in and use a subscription I believed was finished.
To reiterate
I have not used any secondary subscription
I would like to withdraw from any and all subscriptions I hold with this company
As I am within my 14 days and have not used this subscription I will be awaiting the necessary forms to fill out and return in order to have the 270DKR refunded.

Secondly I would appreciate an explanation on how postage on your products costs 80DKR
