  • Mechelle, the BBB can only send out letters to CIG asking for the return of our money. You must contact the Attorney General of both New York and your home state. According to my attorney, the more complaints the Atty Gen receives, the more likely charges will be filed against the executives of this company and our money will be returned. Apparently, there are more people out there in our situation that we thought. We are not alone in this and, collectively, we will be able to bring these people down, prevent this from happening to others, and get our money returned. Our complaints and reports to the Attorney Generals of both New York and our home state are our only hope. My complaint will be filed thru my attorney's office, but if you can't afford to get any attorney, copy all of the paperwork sent to you from CIG as well as any correspondance from the BBB and sent it in to the Attorney Generals. This is a serious situation that has gone on too long for all of us and we have to fight as a group to get back what was taken from us. It may take more time than we would like, but these people must be stopped. Also, I am going to contact all of the realtors in my area and warn them against this company. We have got to get the word out and put an end to Keith Anthony and Anthony Podious' scamming! I also copied all of the complaints from this website and sent it to my lawyer to include in the package of paperwork that he is sending to the Attorney Generals so they can see how widespread and serious this situation is. Let's keep in touch with our progress thru this website. Hang in there......as a group we can do this!

  • Everyone must first go to this website:

    http://www.ag.ny.gov/consumer-frauds/Filing-a-Consumer-Complaint

then scroll to the bottom for Nassau Regional Office complaint form. This is the office handling this case, send it is as soon as possible. After you do that, google the State Attorney office for your county and contact them. Let them know that you were advised that even though you submitted your complaint to the New York State Attorney office, you were advised to also contact your State Attorney. They should be able to direct you on whether they take the complaint over the phone or if you have to mail it in. What county do you live in?

  • If you decide to speak with your own personal attorney, you should get one that is proficient in both consumer fraud and real estate. Just want to say....I feel more positive about getting back our money knowing that everyone is working together. I hate that we have all had to go thru this horrific experience, but I guess we've all had to learn a hard life lesson. I believe that with as many of us out there that have had dealings with CIG (as well as having the names of the same people like Keith Anthony and Anthony Podios)with the same "lines" being read to us that we stand a VERY good chance! Hang in there everyone....according to what my attorney has told me, there is strength in numbers and we will be taken seriously.

  • No, you must contact both the attorney general in your state and in the state of New York. It will ultimately be up to the state of New York Atty General to make the arrests, but since the property is located in your home state, you have to report the crime there, too.

  • CIG Realty is working diligently to correct some issues that arose from the implementation of our initial business model and miscommunication between former employees and our customers.

Our objective is to satisfy any and all concerns of our customers and continue to move forward with our business.

Unfortunately CIG Realty was the victim of a malicious internet campaign that spread misinformation about the company’s business dealings and intentions. This campaign was implemented by disgruntled former employees. It is the policy of CIG not to discuss specific personnel issues.

CIG is in the process of contacting all its customers to address any concerns and answer any and all questions they may have. In addition CIG has hired a full time employee to handle inquiries.

CIG is dedicated to addressing our client’s concerns including refunding monies and scheduling new closing dates.

CIG is cooperating with the State Attorney’s office to assure customers complaints are being handled in a timely fashion.

Any customers who wish to ask questions or have concerns should immediately contact us at (516) 453-2602 or write us at CIG Realty, 1900 Hempstead Turnpike Suite 310, East Meadow, New York 11554.
