They called late evening on home phone and talked me into giving control of my computer remotely to them saying my computer was reporting a lot of virus problems to Microsoft. Said they were a part of microsoft designated to help Microsoft users to clean their machines. They showed me a series of files they said were virus and they could clean it up. Of course, I would need to pay $199 for one year or $299 for two years and what they would install would be virus detectors, etc. They installed what turns out to be shareware AVG internet virus software. When they called the next time, they said someone had changed my hard drive volume number allowing scammers to enter the machine. This would also cost me $199 or $299 for software to prevent further occurrences. However, after each time they had the machine, they changed my program font which made it harder to read the screen and the machine now seems to run slower. When they took my money via mastercard, I caught them setting up a Western Union account under my name with my credit card information and their own password. Although the menu said my account was the sender, the tech said money would not actually be sent. They had specified an India Bank as receiver. When I confronted them on this, the tech said I don't understand financial matters and not to worry. PLEASE DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY!!
