Craigslist Job Posting....Again

So, last summer the job scam on Craigslist was to try to get all your personal info (including your SS#) and get you to signup at freecreditreport.com before they'd give you a job...
Apparently, the new one is for a "personal assistant." I've applied for quite a few receptionist/front desk positions on Craigslist and I can't tell you how many different forms of the following email I've received, always a little different, but the same general thing and asking me for my personal info. I've received so many of these from different positions I've "applied" to, my gmail is grouping them together by itself...not real sure how this happened. Here's one:


Hello Applicant,

Your resume/email was received and has been reviewed. I appreciate your effort and have decided to give this a “go.”

Detailed Job Description:

I am looking for a trustworthy and reliable individual who works well and understands orders. My name is Robert Thomas. I am 51 years old, married with 3 wonderful children. I am into Finance, which tends to be my main source of income......
A payment inform of a USPS Money Order/Certified Check will be sent over to you from one of my clients and i have some lists to email you once you received the funds,You will make some arrangements by buying some stuff for the kids in the Orphanage at any nearest store around you so you can mail them out. I will get you more information on that, I will like you to get back to me with your Contact Details such as

I removed some of the email, but that's the main part...and they are all generally the same, except different names and this one is pathetic enough that it actually talks about how they are helping an orphanage. There's something in all of them about how they're going to send you money to send stuff out for them (most of them usually say "Nothing illegal!" which should probably tell you something right there!)
Be careful....finding a job on Craigslist is a joke these days.
