Someone had gotten my infomation off of the Western Union Site about a year ago and tried to send someone $500 but Western Union stopped it that time. Ever since I had trouble using the Western Union site to send money. I had to go to the Agent to send it or send it over the phone, I could not use the Internet because my account would not let it go through, apparently who ever had my information had control of my account. But I just thought it was my computer because I had been having problems with it. Then on May 28, 2011 there were two different charges to Westen Union charged to my bank card. The total amount was for $492.00 but it overdrew my account which cost me another $60 total. Western Union would not do anything about it because the person that it was sent to had already picked the money up. And they said it was not their fault, that it was my banks fault for letting the charges go through. My bank is the one who had to reimburse me the charges that was taken from my account. But it took me two weeks to get the money back into my account. But I feel like it was Western Unions fault since it was their website that these people had hacked into and taken my info from. I had to change everything again, my debit card and all. I have asked Western Union for a new Gold Card number but till this date I have not gotten a new card from them, nor I have not heard about how to go about getting a new Gold Card from them, and how to keep the points that I have on the GOld card that I have and not loose them.
Western Union just does not want to take responisibility for anything. They would not even talk to me about this, they said they had to talk with the bank even though it had my name and numbers and all on the accounts. I do not know who done it, where it was sent to all I know is the name of the person who picked up the money, but I do not even know who that person is.
