I received two phone text messages that I had won $1000 gift card from Target for entering a contest. How did these people get my cell phone number? I want it stopped. I do shop at Target occasionally but I did not enter any contest.

- They don't "have" your number. They will send out a few million of these at a time to sequential numbers and see if anyone bites.
