My debit card was charged $2.50 on Nov 27th. I called the phone number associated on my bank statement and was sent to a call center with a very vague company title. "24/7 Support". When I asked why I was charged this amount they said that they represent hundreds of online entities and that I had authorized that charge. I said that I, in fact, had not authorized the charge and then demanded a refund. I was given a confirmation number and was told the credit would appear in 7-10 business days.

I have a feeling that it is somehow related to a crappy online "make-money-from-home" scam that I was suckered into over the summer. I have been chasing these bogus charges down since then. (not to mention the 20+ calls a week I get from other make-money-at-home-scam-artists that those jerks sold my phone number to)
