I was under the impression I was calling Apple for technical help, only to be scammed. The greeting "Welcome to Apple support" leads you to believe you have reached Apple. You are then asked what is the serial # of your computer, which I gave them. I also told them I have AppleCare, which hadn't yet expired only to be told my contract didn't cover software only hardware. Because I was having a software issue they could help me, but first I needed to purchase software protection. Therefore, I purchase one-year protection for $199.99. I was then passed on to a technician who would solve my problem. Two hours later, the issue wasn't resolved and I was then told I must have a virus and should purchase virus protection for my computer so they could solve the problem. $59.99 and another two hours later, my small computer issue became huge, when my computer crashed. I couldn't spend any more time on my computer that day. In the morning a friend said AppleCare covered both hardware and software and I should call Apple again. I did and they had no record of my call and were able to resolve the issue within a half hour. That's when I realized mytechhelp.com is a scam company that I will report to American Express and the Better Business Bureau. I called mytechhelp to ask for a refund, I haven't heard back. I also contacted American Express will not pay the charge and my computer person is on the way over to make sure mytechhelp.com which accesses your computer remotely can't ever again.
