I had the same experience as Winton SBID#fd76c70911, Posted 08/24/2011, which states:
1. Ordered a purported free sample of facial cream for a small shipping charge.
2. One month later noticed they had posted a charge of $97.88 to my credit card.
3. Called their number (866-982-6218) to object to the charge and was told: "Too late to return sample".
4. They did offer to refund $30.00 as a courtesy (not received yet).
5. Told me everything they did was completely legal and approved by the FTC.

I was taken in by the presentation on their web site and thought I would receive a free sample to try and order further product if I liked it. I did not read their extensive Terms and Conditions carefully enough to notice that I would be billed for the sample (a months supply-small as it was) if I didn't cancel within 10 days and would further receive additional shipments unless the account was cancelled.

  • Seeking Resolution: Other
  • I have already disputed this charge with Visa (US Bank) and I'm waiting for a resolution.
